Yesturday Was My Birthday!

So yesturday (January 30th) was my birthday!
I turned 21 years old. Had the day to myself and then in the evening once Deven was home, we headed over to Petsmart to buy another goldfish since Dot - our little calico goldfish, died earlier that morning. So we have Monstro and Cleo now. Deven pointed out to me that both fish have names from Pinochio, Monstro being the whale, and Cleo being Jepedo's goldfish.
After we purchased Cleo, we were told about the bill & body rule (oh that sounds awful..) basically Petsmart has a 14 day return policy where if your fish dies and you have the reciept, you bring the dead fish and the reciept with you to the store and they let you pick out a new one. Had we known this, Cleo would have been free.
We then piled back into the car and headed to Wendys for burgers, and stopped at Future Shop where Deven bought me my birthday present. A digital voice recorder, similar to the ones used in our ghost shows, so that when we go on hunts we can catch EVPs! I'm really excited, and want to check out the Donnally house next.
Once we arrived back home we ate and put the new fish in the tank - still in the bag to get the water temps the same - and headed back out the door to my Moms place. We had cake, got a new toaster, talked for a while, and then headed home.
The day deffinately didn't feel like my birthday in all honesty. It felt like just another day. We didn't go out drinking, or do what the average 21yr old does.. We just sat around and enjoyed eachothers company.
Now today... I'll be doing the chores I neglected yesturday... and with that I leave you.

Ghost Hunt Results!

I'm not a sheep.
I won't tell you what you want to hear, I'll tell you the truth.
I won't be who you want me to be, I'm better at being me.
I won't follow your lead, I have my own heart to guide me.
Take me as I am, or leave me.
-K. Robinson.

So we had our ghost hunt at my friends place and it went FANTASTIC!  We mostly got photos of orbs - which can be passed off as dust or bugs - but we also got a photo of a face in an upstairs window, a curious looking orb on the homeowners leg, her dog is actually staring right at it. A mist figure in the pool room, and a small brown tabby cat under the pool table - the pool room is actually off limits to the household pets and the homeowners have 1 cat which is black and white, the only other cat they have that resembles the one in the picture, died last week. We also did an EVP session (using Devens cell phone) where we tried to communicate with the spirits and found a whisper saying "I want the basement" and then after another saying something along the lines of "why do you have to go".
The night was interesting to say the least and it'd be fun to explore further with better equipment. We plan on doing this again.

Just 2 of the pictures we took last night.

It's Saturday!

Sorry I've skipped the last 2 days... Nothing super interesting happend though so you didn't miss anything.
Today, is Saturday. Thank goodness for that! I've been in a bit of a funk lately and completely lost myself in a game to escape the reality of how I've been feeling. - It didn't work. But perhaps this will... Tonight Deven is taking me to dinner for my birthday! My birthday isn't actually until Monday, but since people work through the week we're celebrating tonight. After dinner, we're heading to a friends house to play pool, have a few drinks, and..... Ghost Hunt!
My friend lives in a really old farm house so this will be really interesting and really fun! We're going to be using a video camera, digital cameras, and a few other pieces of equipment that I keep in a small chest.
I'll letcha know what we find!

So.. Early!

Who informed my 3yr old that we need to be awake before the sun is up??
Miles usually sleeps a wonderfully long amount of time. Though he does still get up in the night, but usually we don't call it morning until about 9 at least. This morning however he woke up at the "regular" toddler time... boooo... LOL. He's been sleeping til between 9 and 11 since birth, so seeing 7 on the clock this morning was a huge surprise.
Not too sure what we're doing yet today. So far we've only had breakfast and made fishy faces at eachother.

Some Good News though!

Enough people reported the page, that it's now unavailable on facebook! YAY!
However the link on the post "Some peoples kids need a kick to the head" still works. I want to assure you though, the page is gone. I'm just not sure how to remove the link lol. Thanks everyone!

Also be sure to visit my forum (http://www.justusmoms.forumotion.ca/) and read the Global Announcement to find out how YOU can win free Scentsy Products!

Some Peoples Kids Need A Good Kick In The Head!

http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Retard-McSwain/271313532934918
I didn't think I would have anything to share with you today... that is until I saw the webpage that the link takes you to.
I can honestly say I am disgusted! This page is offensive on so many levels! I am honestly so infuriated that I cannot begin to explain properly for a single moment, how this page makes me feel.
I'm saddened that there are people who are this ignorant and insensitive. I'm furious that there is someone out there taking joy from seeing their offensive page circle through and cause so much heated drama. I can't believe how sick these people are... I have nothing more to say other then I'm completely and utterly disgusted.

Click the link and report that page, and all the pictures on it.

What to do.. What to do...

Sunday.. The end of the weekend -- for most.
For me? It's just another day. Another day of cleaning, another day of occupying my boy, another day of making numerous snacks and meals, chatting with friends online... Today there's really nothing new.
Oh except our DVD/VCR!  Our other one finally crapped out on us on Wednesday. The VCR side had been dead a while, and when the DVD side crapped out, we looked into getting a new one.
We had to go to 3 seperate stores to find one! And for the record.. this was after we'd gone to multiple pawn shops and used items stores!
We finally found one at Future Shop.
At Best Buy one of the sales consultants asked if DVD/VCR's were still being manufactured. Apparently they are! Lucky for us!
So today will be spent with movies on the TV and the vaccum in hand!

I couldn't believe what I was reading....

I frequently browse various websites and forums, but today I came across this article: http://www.wolfhirschhorn.org/2012/01/amelia/brick-walls/

I found it particularily moving and decided that today it should be what I blog about.
The article is about a family who's daughter has a mental disability. The young girl needs a kidney transplant but the Childrens Hospital of Philidelphia has refused to allow this to happen.
They have said that the childs quality of life, and mental delays, void her eligibility and therefore she will never be allowed to get on the waiting list for a transplant. When the family told the doctor they had a large family and were willing to donate their own organs, the doctor repeated himself more slowly. In my opinion, hugely disrespecting the Mother of this young girl.
There were a few pieces of the article tha really stood out to me,
"So you mean to tell me that as a doctor, you are not recommending the transplant, and when her kidneys fail in six months to a year, you want me to let her die because she is mentally retarded? There is no other medical reason for her not to have this transplant other than she is MENTALLY RETARDED!”
“Yes. This is hard for me, you know"
This little tidbit made me crazy.
And this too

He pauses as if he is choosing his words carefully. “I have been warned about you. About how involved you and your famliy are with Amelia.”
The devil himself could not have produced a more evil laugh. “Ha! Warned! That is funny! You have no idea…”
Um.. damn right the family is involved.. that is their DAUGHTER!!!

I haven't been able to find a petition for this, but there really should be!
This is the address for the main campus of the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia (found via google). Maybe if they get enough letters in regards to this issue, they'll go through with the transplant!

Keep An Eye On Your Teenagers!

I often browse different gaming websites for something to do during my spare time or as a "break" from real life. Today my site of choice was one I often visit; http://www.omgpop.com/
However I wouldn't recommend it as child friendly and would advise that you keep an eye on the kiddo's if they're playing these games!
The people on this website seem to have nothing on their minds but sex. Usually it's just men from different countries, such as Pakistan, Trinidad, Turkey, Egypt... but today while playing pool, I came across a young woman who claimed to be just 16 years old, and is from Nebraska.
She said hello, and asked what my asl (age, sex, location) was to which I did reply. She then asked my sexuality. I told her I am straight. She then asked if I'd ever been interested in women and told me she was bisexual. Thinking this conversation wouldn't turn out like those I've had with the men on this site (them being the dirty scoundrels they are!) I found no harm in telling the young lady that yes I'd experimented with women in the past. We then chit chatted about various things, but eventually she complimented me by saying I was very pretty. I told her thank you and she pushed for me to go see her profile. I told her I was playing a game. A few moments later the same thing.. and soon afterwards, she was telling me that she was taking pictures of herself with her digital camera. I said cool, thinking the girl was just bored and looking for conversation... well it turns out she wanted more then just that. She then asked if I wanted to see pictures of her breasts.

Um Hello!?  You're 16 years old, I am 20. I have NO interest in seeing your girly bits and in all honesty, if I really wanted to see breasts, I would simply look down as I have a pair of my own!

Good grief...

Well.... Shit Happens..

Ah Man.. what a day.
The buildings power was cut from 9am until 2:30pm. To fill the time, Miles and I brought out playdoh and books and tried to keep busy. Unfortunately, the excitement my little man had about playdoh and I spy books, quickly ran out and once again he sat there looking as though he might die from boredom. We decided to play a game of hide and seek, but he was soon distracted by the sight of one of his favourite movies, left out from the day before. Madagascar.
Soon he was rushing to my side, asking to watch the movie. However, with the power being out I had to try and explain to him that he couldn't watch it just yet, but later. Of course he didn't quite understand and started crying.
After what seemed like ages of trying to distract my little munchkin from his dramatic display over his inability to watch a movie, the power was finally restored.
Miles was so excited to watch his movie. I got up and turned on the TV only to find that the power being out all day had totally screwed everything up. I ended up having to re-route everything just to get cable working again! And my DVD/VCR? Yea it's toast. Completely fried. It doesn't register when you push the buttons, and if you try turning it off, the DVD side still says "power-on".
Unfortunately, Madagascar is inside the player so I can't just chuck it... It will have to be taken apart or something...
So thats now the 3rd thing to crap out on us this month. Our toaster decided to be a little pickier then regular toasters and you now have to hold down the button in order for the toast to get toasted... My computer fried and is still out being fixed... and now the DVD/VCR is finished.
Originally I was pretty pissed, but now... well... shit happens.

On the plus side!
My friend Tia is here and we're totally going to make cake cookies and they are going to be amazingly awesome and stuffs. So Ha!

Such a lonely day... and it's mine.

All Mine! WAHOOOO!
I woke up this morning feeling a little sick. I've been having a hard time stomaching breakfast over the past week or so until the initial morning nausea goes away -- Don't even think it, I'm not pregnant.
So I ended up cancelling the plans I'd made today to visit with a friend. Instead I spent the day on Devens laptop working on my forum! I've added a whole bunch of new widgets and have made the forum look a little more unique! If you're a Mama or just want to see what I'd done to the forum, click "Just Us Moms" in the side bar. It's a direct link to my forum. However you won't be able to see everything as the forum itself has been set with the intentions of being a little more private and therefore only Members can view the forum entirely.
Either way it's what I spent my day doing and I'm excited about that!
If you have anything you'd like me to blog about, (and you have me on facebook or msn) send me a message and I'll blog about it!

2 New Additions

So yesturday I recieved a text just as we were getting ready to leave for Denfield stating that my friends cat had passed away that morning. This was the friend we were going to be visiting, but she wasn't feeling like a visit after that mornings events. We texted back and forth for a while, I offered to bring her a new kitty or a fish or something, she asked for a Betta, so off to the pet store we went to get her a Crowntailed Betta fish.
Of course.. While we were at the pet store getting this fish, we decided to have a look at the goldfish they had. Miles loves fish so much and we had some before.. they were eaten by one of our cats though. I decided that if we were to get fish, we needed a tank with a lid, and a filter. So we found a start up tank that was on sale (with pet perks) for 50 bucks, got some gravel, shells, faux plants, and something for the fish to swim through, and went and picked out which fish to bring home. We decided on a bubble-eyed calico looking fish, and a goldfish with a black stripe on its head, a moustache and black tipped fins. Both are fan-tails. We then bought them and brought them home, where we set up their tank and placed them (in their bag) in the water so everything could adjust and settle. We then headed off to Denfield to bring my friend her fish and visit with her for the afternoon.
While we were there, we decided to let Miles play outside in the snow since he'd wanted to make "paw prints", but not long after we'd gone out, we were headed back inside with Miles bawling his little eyes out. We had been heading across the field toward a spring, with the ground frozen and the snow covering it, you couldn't see where the divets for the crops were. Miles stepped forward and tripped on a mound of dirt and soon discovered that snow is freezing cold. And with that.. we were headed back to the house.
We didn't stay super long, but the few hours we spent there were very nice.
When we came out to the car to head home, I looked to the sky. I had forgotten what it was like to be able to see the stars. It's been years since I had been in the country last. But to this day, the starry night sky, in the countrys wide open fields, is my favourite sight. I could lay under the stars for hours just watching.
I can't wait to have my own country home!
We packed up the car and were soon on our way. Once we'd gotten home, Miles was sent to bed. He'd fallen asleep in the car and wanted nothing to do with anything, so it wasn't a struggle to get him to sleep. Deven and I then made a chicken dinner for ourselves and sat in the livingroom watching the fish, pondering what to name the 2 little additions. We decided to call the calico looking fish Rufio, and the other MoMo.
And that's that! That was our day yesturday! My computer isn't home with us, but it's being fixed! The only unfortunate bit is that I'd forgotten to print an important letter so hopefully it's still there when we get the computer back. If not then I suppose that's my own fault and I'll just have to rewrite it.

Today; I'll be visiting with a friend of mine who lives practically next door. It'll be nice to see her, it's been too long since we last got together.

I hope you all enjoy your day!

Todays the day!

First off, I have to appologize for not updating yesturday. If you've read one of my previous blog posts you know that my computer has a virus and therefore I can't even get on it.
Today, however, is the day we take the thing apart, and bring it to Denfield so my friend can fix it! YAY! Unfortunately, I will probably remain computerless until sometime next week.
I know some of you may be thinking "weren't you supposed to be going Saturday?"  Well yes, we were. Things came up and we had to delay our "trip". Besides we can stay longer if we go today AND the place is haunted so... yknow, who doesn't like ghosts? Maybe we'll ghost hunt a little.
I'll letcha know tomorrow!
Ciao

Plus Sized Models....

Before I start, this is not a bash on the men and women who model, nor is it a bash on thin people in general. I appologise in advance if this post offends anyone, this is simply my opinion and nothing more then that.

Today I read an article online: Click here to view the article
It basically showed (in a bit of a sexual way) the differences in a "plus sized" model, and a "regular sized" model.
My issue?  Well, it isn't that they're being a little sexual, it isn't that the women are thin, it's that the women featured as "plus sized" are about my size. I am 5'3 and about 150lbs. I wear size 11 or 12 pants, and medium shirts, but I am by no means "plus sized", so in a way this article actually offended me.
Now some of you may feel that maybe I'm over reacting to some degree and that the pictures are simply trying to change societies view and say "hey, isn't the "plus sized" models body, more beautiful to look at then the "regular sized" model?"  And yes, I'd have to agree, I personally find the plus sized models featured in this article to be very beautiful. But the mere fact that they are considered plus sized in the modelling industry saddens me.
The reality is, most of society varies in weight, and height, and shape, and colour, and so on.. and therefore most of society isn't portrayed properly in the modelling industries. And I think that's unfortunate to be honest. I have a friend who looks like if the wind blew too hard she'd fly away and never been seen again, I have another friend who's on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I think both of these women are gorgeous and wish that the rest of society could see that too. Maybe then, the modelling industries would change their ideas and let the men and women modelling their clothing, eat a doughnut!

Again, I appologise if this post offends anyone. Simply my opinion on the article read today.

Changing Things Up A Little.

So I decided today while looking at my over-crowded and cluttered bedroom, that I wanted to switch things up a little and maybe try to get more space out of it by moving things around. So I sat myself down on the bed and pondered just what to move, how to move it myself, and where to put it..
I decided to move my bed (which was againt the wall) out about a foot so the night stand could fit snuggly between the bed and the wall..
So I get that done and now I'm back to looking at my room and wondering where to move what and how. I'm also wondering whether I should have even moved anything at all. We had more space before. Hm... We managed to get Devens things into the closet too but now he's brought even more stuff over! Not that it's an issue, I just didn't realise how cramped the apartment was until everything started piling in. It'll be nice when we get a bigger place! Hopefully once we're all settled into our new budget, we'll be able to look into getting a larger place. Fingers Crossed!

Another day on the boyfriends laptop...

Well, here I am, another day computerless. Some of you may be thinking "Uh.. you're clearly not computerless if you're using your boyfriends laptop" and while that's obviously true, I feel really weird about using it.. lol. So I only get on quick to check emails or facebook or yknow... whatever needs checking.

I've been reading a book called "Dawn of the Dreadfuls" by Steve Hockensmith. It's the prequal to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I'm about halfway through it and finding it difficult to put down -- so difficult in fact, that my back and neck hurt from sitting and reading all day. I don't easily get sucked into books, but I'm really enjoying this one.

The back reads;
'Readers will witness the birth of a heroine in Dawn of the Dreafuls - a thrilling prequal set 4 years before the horrific events of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. As our story opens, the Bennet sisters are enjoying a peaceful life in the English countryside. They idle away the days reading, gardening, and day dreaming about future husbands - until a funeral at the local parish goes strangely and horribly awry.
Suddenly corpses are springing from the soft earth - and only one family can stop them. As the bodies pile up, we watch Elizabeth Bennet evolve from a naive young teenager into a savage slayer of the undead. Along the way, two men vie for her affections. Master Hawksworth is the powerful warrior who trains her to kill, while thoughtful Dr. Keckilpenny seeks to conquer the walking dead using science instead of strength. Will either man win the prize of Elizabeth's heart? Or will their hearts, be feasted upon by hordes of marauding zombies? Complete with romance, action, comedy, and an army of shambling corpses, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies; Dawn of the Dreadfuls will have Jane Austen rolling in her grave - and just might inspire her to crawl out of it!
If you're a zombie fan, I'd check it out!

BEWARE OF THIS VIRUS!

Hey followers.
Unfortunately, my computer has completely crashed. I logged on this morning to check facebook and various forums, and boom.. hit with a virus. I don't know how I got it, where it came from, but it's crashed my browser completely. The virus is called "XP Antivirus 2012" and cleverly designed to hide as an anti-virus software. Its undetectable by Avast, and if you click the link to get rid of it, it takes you to a page requesting your credit card number to pay for 1 year, 2 years, or lifetime virus protection software. Beware of this! The prices say they are a "pay once" type of deal.. well.. I dunno, but 80 bucks for a lifetime garuntee of anti-virus software is a little fishy to me... DO NOT FALL FOR THIS PEOPLE!
So I will be taking my computer to a friends house this Saturday (if they can't pick it up today) to have it rebuilt and fixed.
Keep checking back as I'll try to post when I can.

Update on Date Night - *Spoiler Alert*

I wasn't planning to update on how the night went, but decided I'd share my thoughts on the movie we'd gone to see.
The Sitter

While I found this movie to be funny, and overall did enjoy it. It doesn't send the best message. It kind of says "Guys will do anything for sex", which I really don't feel is true. Basically, the whole movie consists of Noah (played by Jonah Hill) running around town with 3 kids in a mini-van trying to get cocaine for his "girlfriend" because she invited him to a party and promised him sex if he came and brought the drug. He meets up with a guy named Karl, buys the coke, but lands himself in a heap of trouble when one of the children he's babysitting steals a dinosaur egg full of the drug. Noah then spends the rest of the movie getting into fights and stealing to pay back the drug lord.
Would I see it again? Probably not
Would I buy it? Maybe
Do I think it's totally awesome sauce!?  No.. not really.

Date Night!

Lately I've been feeling a little depressed. I call it housebound blues. I don't go out very often as a single person (as in without Miles strapped to my leg) and have been feeling a little caged in because of this. I expressed how I've been feeling to my very understanding boyfriend, and we arranged to have a date night just days later. Well tonight is date night. And I'm very excited! We plan to go see "The Sitter" in theatres and then come home and watch "Once Upon A Time.." and "Alan Gregory". We might sneak a burger in there somewhere too.

Turning over a new leaf

2012 really has so far proven to be a year that changes me little by little. Just this week alone I've already learned a few things about myself.
1. My wording can often be misunderstood, insensitive, or hurtful.
2. I appear aggressive to others when there is a disagreement in which I take part (online).
3. I learn best when I'm approached in a more gentle manner, and with smaller words, as my vocabulary isn't very large.
4. I appear to many as a drama queen.

I've decided that my goal this year, will be to retrain myself in a sense. I'd like to change my reputation as a drama queen as I really don't feel that is truly me. I want to learn more words to expand my vocabulary so that I'm not using slang that may offend others. I want to make more friends so that I don't feel as though I am relying on forums or chatrooms for social interaction. And I want to learn to be able to accept that others will and do, have different opinions then myself.

I am young, and do have a lot to learn. I've recognised this in the past. I realise that for a nearly 21yr old Mother, I still have a lot of growing up to do. I think it's time we started to take a few steps away from Neverland.

Kind of 'sad' really...

And I don't mean sad as in tears, so don't worry, this post won't start a flood.
I have been working on a puzzle for the last 3 days now, it's a 1000 piece puzzle and difficult to keep up with when you have a busy 3 year old and a house to keep clean - which is not an easy task when your 3 year old has the abilities of a tornado. Seriously...
So anyways, doing my puzzle, yay, happy fun times, yada yada, and this guy pops up on msn and asks what I'm doing. I tell him I'm doing a puzzle, and he says; "Oh, like a jigsaw puzzle?" and I say "well.. yea, duh" and he says "Oh.. what site are you using?"

Face Palm.

Really people? Come on, are we so reliant on technology that a simple jigsaw puzzle, made from, you guessed it!, cardboard, is unfathomable!?

For those of you who don't remember.. this is what a real puzzle looks like.
Mind you, it's not finished yet.

Things like this make me crazy.....

3 year olds.. Seriously, what is it with them? They're cute, cuddly, awesome, fun, silly, say things completely out of the ordinary and always manage to take you by surprise... They're inspired by the world around them, and throw the worlds worst tantrums! Well... that I've encountered so far.
But most of all? They're sneaky.
They are the sneakiest little sneakies I've ever encountered! Well.. again.. so far.
My little guy, Miles, was playing so quietly. I thought to myself, oh what a wonderful afternoon! I'll have a tea, tidy the house a little, maybe sit down with my puzzle or a book I've been reading and really take advantage of this little "break".

HA!

Well that's just hilarious ain't it? Break? Ha! yea right.. there is no such thing when you have a 3 year old. True story y'know. All you "gonna be moms of 3yr olds" watch out!
Nope, Miles wasn't playing quietly. I don't get to enjoy a tea, or catch up on my reading, nor do I get to sit down and relax with my puzzle. Instead, while the water was boiling for my intended tea, I travelled down the hall to find his door open, I peek in and... no Miles. So I continue down the hall to my room.. yep, theres a Miles... and guess what he's doing?

Getting into everything.

And I mean, EVERYTHING. We own bearded dragons, and Miles must have thought they needed to be fed because he emptied the cricket box, and jar of calcium powder, INTO THEIR TANK. I've just had to give the lizards, and logs, and bowls a bath.. and there is still more to do.
*le sigh*
Just another day in paradise.

Words Hurt

Well bloggers, followers, friends, family... I want to share this with you.
Yesturday I used the words "mentally handicapped" in the wrong way. I had misplaced a thread on a forum I'm apart of. In misplacing this thread, I created a new one asking where it went under the assumption it had been deleted. When I found said thread, I called myself mentally handicapped. I used those words to replace the word stupid. I thought that since I'd used the correct term, it wouldn't be nearly as offensive as if I had called myself a "retard". I've now been told, harshly, that these words do not have synonymous meanings... as in they do not mean the same thing. I'm fully aware that people who are mentally handicapped are not stupid. In fact wasn't there a doctor on Greys Anatomy who had a form of autism? But because of that it made her amazing at her job. Now I realise this is a TV show, but it's just the same in real life. I have a cousin, Simon, who is autistic. He's a wonderful guy, and he's really very smart! I know another guy who has aspergers, he's also really smart and actually moving out on his own with his girlfriend. Another friend of mine, Ian, is a really hard worker and has been working the same job since he was 16. People who are mentally handicapped, are not *always* completely dependant on others. And they sure as heck are not stupid. I didn't realise how hurtful the use of this word is to some people, and I hoped that by blogging about it today, others could learn this too.

Thank You for reading.
And to those of you whom I did offend with my use of the word. I'm sorry, and I hope that you now see the sincerity in my writing.

MegaMind

Almost every night, Deven and I watch a movie before bed. It's just our "thing". Anyways, last night we watched Megamind. Neither of us had seen it yet, but we'd both seen the previews and thought it looked pretty funny.
The movie itself isn't all that bad! I really enjoyed it and we're happy to have it as part of our collection.

Moving Day!

Well that's that! Deven is almost completely moved in, and we're nearly ready to get organised! All that's left to move is the larger items, such as furniture. The picture I've shared with you, is a picture of our bedroom. Deven has put all of his clothing and various items in bags, and it's taken up a large portion of our small master bedroom.

This isn't even all of it! There is still more to come! Our apartment isn't very large and so these 3 bags take up a lot of space in our bedroom. Right now the plan is to clear out half the closet, and install Dev's ikea closet organiser so he no longer has to live out of bags. Unfortunately, with a large box of blankets, and a bunch of other stuff in the closet, this is working out to be a larger job then originally thought.

On another note! How about all this white stuff!? It was so blizzardy (is that even a word?) outside last night that I just had to take a picture and show you. The snow was coming in so hard that the buildings across the street were difficult to make out. Insanity!

20 Years Young

I realise this is considered my second post of the day, but....

I've created a website! I'm so proud of myself. I never realised how much goes into it! I've been working on it for about a month now, and so far I have 14 members. If you'd like to check it out, head to; http://www.justusmoms.forumotion.ca/

Today;

Today we went grocery shopping, so boring! But hey, foods food, and food is good so.. y'know.. kinda sorta necessary and stuff! Anywho, when we finished browsing the wonderful aisles of never-ending boxes and cans of food, we headed to the check-out to get the heck outta there and head to the mall!
Well... At the check out, the cashier was so rude! My little guy, Miles, was curious about the stick they use to seperate 1 persons groceries from another, and reached out to touch it. I had told him in a calm tone, "no" and the cashier had the balls to shout out "No! Dont touch that!" and then lower her tone and almost whisper "please". I don't care if you've had a bad day or what, don't yell at my kid. To say the least, I was annoyed. That really rubbed me the wrong way...
So then we went to the mall and man am I lucky that Deven (my boyfriend) loves me, because I am such a big kid... They had these giant stuffed animals that are so squishy and comfy, and well.. they were 10 bucks and about as big as my 3 year old.. so um.. y'know.. I have a new buddy to sleep with tonight. LOL!

January 2012

January 2012.. Wow.. I can't believe how quickly time flies. Can you?
This year feels so care-free. No worries. It will be such a change from the year before.
I wake up each morning feeling happy, and excited to see where the day leaves me next.
My 3 year old son is growing bigger each day.. to think that this time last year, was the last we ever saw of his Father. I don't understand how so many people can just walk in and out of peoples lives. As if they never mattered. Well it's all behind us now. Senseless to dwell on the past.
My own Father has gone through major changes as well. I rarely see him nowadays. Sometimes I feel as if he died with the marriage.

For those of you who don't know me, my name to you, is Espyridion. It means "little spirit". I chose this name as I feel it suits me. I'm young, and many would probably agree if I described myself as naive. I've been through a lot in my short 20 years. At 11 years old, a student in my class was in a car accident and unfortunately, passed away. The following year, my teacher from the year before, commit suicide. I spent the next 2 years being suspended every month, and by Grade 9 I was on the brink of expulsion. When I was just 17, I had my son. I dropped out of school to raise him as a stay at home Mother. School really wasn't working for me anyways. By the time he was a year old his Father had left us twice. The relationship was abusive, but it took him leaving us twice more before I finally realised I... no.. WE deserved much better then what we had.  In 2010 we got our first apartment. I'd always said I'd be out on my own by 19.

In my new found freedom, I became a little premiscuous. By October 2010, I'd calmed down, thinking I was entering a relationship with a steady guy. Unfortunately for me, this was not the case. I ended up pregnant, and after learning a few things about this "new" guy, left him, and was once again alone. Back where I'd started. I arranged for an adoption to take place, and by July 2011, gave birth and gave a wonderful family the gift of a child of their own.

While I've experienced a lot through the past years, I feel that I'm meant for something bigger. Theres something more for me to experience. Come with me on this journey, who knows. Maybe this year will be it. Maybe this year, will be the year that changes my life forever.
